Marchand Woman Died Saturday
Mrs. Rosanna Wingert passed away at the home of her son, Charles Wingert, Marchand, Saturday evening, July 1st, at 11:45 from an illness of six weeks.
She was born September 15, 1852, in McCalmont township, Jefferson County, a daughter of George and Barbara (Hoffman) Noerr. On December 30, 1873, she was united in marriage to Henry G. Wingert. She had been a resident of the Marchand community for 50 years and a member of the Presbyterian Church of Covode.
Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Emma Wassam, Cherry Tree; Miss Charlotte and Claire and Clark, all of Anaheim, Calif., and Mrs. Beulah Okart, of Whittier, Calif.; Frank, Wagoner, ARiz.; Roderus, Pittsburgh, and Charles, Marchand. Two sisters also survive, Mrs. Frank St. Clair, DuBois, and Mrs. Henry Smith, of Trade City. Ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the home in Marchand, in charge of Rev. E.C. Good. Interment will follow in Marchand Cemetery.
