Inscription: "In memory of Jonathan Cary Jun., son of Mr. Jonathan Cary and Mrs. Louisa, his wife, died October ye 12th, A.D. 1775, in ye 21st year of his age"

Mitchell's book states that he was born in 1754 and that he died of "the camp ail." In Kingman's book, there is a Jonathan Cary listed under Captain Josiah Hayden's company dated April 19, 1775.
