Georgia's grave marker says 1851 to 1921. At the time of the 1850 census she was listed as 3 years old. Her death certificate says 22 Mar 1850 to 24 Dec 1920.

I will use 22 Mar 1847 to 24 Dec 1920 for her vital dates, despite it conflicting with the grave marker dates.

Georgia Carmichael Rothrock was the youngest of nine known children of Col. William C. J. Rothrock (1796-1856) and Mary Ruffin (or Mary Rose?) Taliaferro (1809-1859), who married 24 Jan 1826 at Bath, Caroline County, Virginia.

Georgia married Henry Clay Bowen (1846-1928) (a former Civil War Soldier with the Confederacy) on 21 Dec 1869 at Stafford County, Virginia.

Georgia and Henry were the parents of ten known children, namely:

1. William Taylor Bowen (1871-1940)
2. Harry C. Bowen (1873-1873)
3. Ellen Fitzhugh Bowen Brittle (1874-1948)
4. Champe Taliaferro Bowen (1875-1927)
5. Mary S. Bowen (1877-1898)
6. Georgia R. Bowen Brittle (1879-1958)
7. Harry Moore Bowen (1881-1951)
8. John McGill Bowen (1883-1948)
9. Charles Hay Bowen (1888-1956)
10. Ella Bowen Mickley (1890-1988)
