Pearl, of Port Arthur, passed away Thursday at Cypress Glenn East.
She had lived most of her life in the Pear Ridge area, where she was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church. She was also a past president of the Group St. Thomas Altar Society and she volunteered as a Pink Lady for the St. Mary's Auxiliary for forty years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, C.T. Thibodeaux and Ellen Ledet Thibodeaux; husband, Joseph "Curley" Abshire; sons, Bobby Allen Abshire, Joey Curley Abshire; brothers, Chuck Thibodeaux, Henry "Scuddy" Thibodeaux, and sister Myrtis Ann Laemmle.
Survivors include her daughter, Kelly Montalvo and her husband Richard; son, Kirk Abshire and his wife Phyllis; brother, Jimmy Thibodeaux and his wife Marilyn; sisters, Jeanette Kemp, Marydell Thibodeaux; grandsons, Phillip Abshire and his wife Amber, Lucas Abshire and his wife Amber, Josh Montalvo and his fiancé Tana Lagrappe, Justin Montalvo; granddaughter, Misty Kaderli and her husband Bubba, and six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
