She was the secretary for Shelby's Well Service from 1963-2006 and her memberships included Bible Grove Christian Church and the Eastern Star in Watson, IL.
Sylvia is survived by her husband: Shelby Britton of Clay City, children: Deborah Dugan & husband Raymond of Clay City, James Britton & wife Sherry of Louisville; brother: J.D. Butler & wife Janice of Effingham; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Sunday, October 28, 2007 at Frank & Bright Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Brooks Cemetery in Bible Grove. Visitation will be from 12(noon) until time of service on Sunday at the funeral home.
