Thomas is the son of Peter and Cathryn Mackin Clinton. He did not marry.

Denison Bulletin - Thursday , March 6th, 1941 - Thos. H. Clinton of Manilla passed away on Saturday evening, March 1, at 9:15 at the home of Mrs. Lula Jahn in Denison following a long period of illness. He attained the age of 74 years, 9 months and 9 days.

Mr. Clinton was born on Ma y 22, 1866 in Bureau county, Illinois, the son of Peter and his wife, nee Kathryn Macken. He came to Crawford county with his parents at the age of four years and had been a resident here since then.

He farmed for many years in the Buck Grove community, retiring a number of years ago, after which he made his home in Manilla, until his recent illness. The body was taken from the Sinn Funeral Home Sunday afternoon to the home of his niece, Mrs. Wm. Brosnahan, where it lay in state until the funeral.

Services were held on Tuesday morning at 9:30 at Sacred Heart Catholic church in Manilla, where the Rev. Father J.J. Hyland officiated at the Requiem High Mass. Interment was made in the Mt. Olivet cemetery. Pallbearers were John Noonen, Dennis Kane, D.L. Griffin, Lawrence Finnegan, Maurice Brosnahan, and Frank Beirnes.

He leaves one brother, P.F. Clinton, of near Buck Grove , also several nieces and nephews and many friends.
