"THE PARIS NEWS", Feb. 28, 2003: 'Mabel Christina Buster, 98, of Paris died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003, in Parkview Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, in Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Yarbrough and Bob Seale officiating. She was born Jan. 8, 1905, in Lamar County, the daughter of Malcom and Tennie Click Cleere. She married Wirt Buster on Dec. 24, 1922, in the Cato Community. She was a member of the Mount Tabor-Sumner United Methodist Church. She had been an avid reader all of her life and loved to sing, which she did until the last days of her life. Our mother loved her family, her God, her church and her home. The strength and values she has given her family are a wonderful legacy to leave and we will honor her by accepting her lessons as our own. She was married to Wirt for 67 years until his death on Aug. 28, 1990. She was the mother of seven children, 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two children, Bill J. Buster and Kathryn Buster; grandson, Will Buster; brothers, Rush Cleere, Grafton Cleere and John Cleere; and sisters, Mary Burke, Tennie Williams and Stella Cleere.

Survivors include daughters, Helen Hickman and husband, Bill, Janice Winford and husband, Roy, and Linda Reynolds and friend, Robert Seale; sons, J. E. 'Gene' Buster and wife, Mori and Jack Buster; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Robbie Griffin; siblings, Austelle Worsham and Duane Cleere; and several nieces, nephews and many friends. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. The family suggests memorials be made to Mount Tabor Cemetery Fund, the Paris Public Library or the Residnt's Activities Fund at Parkview.'
