Annagrace Eileen Molnar Cook, died on Wednesday, November 24, 2006, at Saint Mary's Home at Asbury Ridge in Erie, Pa., after a brief illness.

She was born on February 8, 1919, in Leisenring, Fayette County, Pa., the daughter of the late Daniel Molnar and Catherine Barlick Molnar of Leisenring, Pa.

She graduated in 1936 from Dunbar Township High School. She began teaching at Trotter Elementary School in Connellsville, Pa., in 1938 after getting her teaching certificate from California State Teachers College.

She moved to Erie when she married Arthur H. Cook in June of 1942.

She began teaching in the City of Erie Public School District in the fall of 1958, completed her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education at Villa Maria College in May 1961, and earned her Master's degree in Education from Gannon University in May 1976.

She spent most of her teaching years at Jefferson Elementary School in Erie. She retired from teaching in December 1987 after 30 years.

Annagrace is survived by her husband of 64 years, Arthur H. Cook, who also resides at Saint Mary's Asbury Ridge; a sister, Catherine Molnar of Leisenring, Pa.; a son, Gary and his wife Deborah and granddaughter Leslie of Midlothian, Virginia and another son Kevin and his wife Julie of Annadale, Virginia.

Visitation for family and friends was held at the Francis V. Kloecker Funeral Home on West 25th Street on Friday, November 24, 2006 followed by a mass in the chapel at Saint Mary's Home at Asbury Ridge on West 26th Street on Saturday.

Interment of the cremains will occur at the North East Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Cathedral Preparatory School, 225 West 9th Street, Erie, Pa 16501 or Saint Vincent DePaul Church 459 Branch Road, Dunbar, PA 15631.
