Obituary:
Lewis C. Berkstresser Jr. of 804 W. 15th St., Tyrone, died at 10:30 p.m. yesterday in Tyrone Hospital, where he was admitted Aug. 9, after a lengthy illness. He was born Dec. 25, 1907, the son of Lewis C. and Rose (Waters) Berkstresser, and Sept. 4, 1936, at Tyrone married Annis Shildt. Surviving are his wife and a sister, Mrs. Violetta Kustaborder of Naples, Fla. Mr. Berkstresser attended Lafayette College and had been employed by Wilson Chemical Co. as a printer for approximately 40 years, retiring on disability last November. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Tyrone, a former Sunday School teacher and a member of the Tyrone Elks lodge and Blazing Arrow Hook and Ladder Fire Co. Friends will be received in the Feller Memorial Home, Tyrone, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow and after 10 a.m. Wednesday.

BERKSTRESSER – Funeral services for Lewis C. Berkstresser Jr. of 804 W. 15th St., Tyrone, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Feller Memorial Home, Tyrone, by the Rev. Owen Brubaker. Interment in Eastlawn Cemetery. Friends will be received in the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and until the time of the service Wednesday. Elks Memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
