Mrs. Bennett was an active member of First Baptist Church until her illness. She retired from Pulaski County Elementary School in 2002 where she served as secretary for 30 years and a paraproffessional for two years. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Matthew Hubert Bennett of Byron.
Survivors include her husband, Hubert Jennings Bennett, Sr; three sons, Hubert Bennett, Jr. (Bridgette) of Byran, Tony Bennett, (Debra) and Larry Bennett (Susan), of Hawkinsville; grandchildren, Christy Peterson (Chris), Emily Whigam (Lock), Kyle Bennett, Brian Bennett, Ashley Bennett and Chelsea Bennett, one great-grandson, Matthew Thomas Bennett, all of Hawkinsville; and one sister, Mary Kludas of Monticello, Il.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making donations to the building fund at First Baptist Church of Hawkinsville. Clark Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
