Lester Atchley, 82, of Springtown died Saturday morning, November 2, 1991, in the local hospital.
Born June 8, 1909, in Huntsville, Alabama, he was a retired mechanic. A member of the Assembly of God Church, he had been a resident of Springtown for 26 years.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Atchley of Springtown; seven daughters, Beverly Messimer of Springtown, Linda Brown of Granbury, Susan Bauler of Corpus Christi, Nancy Trout of Denton, Jane Oberlies of Godley, Janet Falcon of Cleburne and Pamela Simmons of Azle; six sons, Robert Lester Atchley of Denton, William Simmons of Washington, DC, Gene Simmons of North Carolina and Vernon simmons, Rickey Simmons and Billy Simmons, all of Virginia; sister, Jessie Hartley of Rice; 33 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held 11 am Wednesday, November 6, in the Remnant Holiness Church, west of Springtown, with the Rev. Ron Hicks officiating. Interment will follow in the Springtown Cemetery.
Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
