Elmire Guilbeau, age 89, the former Elmire Conques, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2007 at Evangeline Oaks Guest House in Carencro. Ms. Guilbeau was a native and lifelong resident of Carencro.
She was a past member of the American Business Women's Association. Ms. Guilbeau was a parishioner of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro and had been a member of the Bonne Mort Society and the St. Anne Society.
Survivors include one son, Keith Guilbeau of Carencro; two grandchildren, Eve Elizabeth Guilbeau and Eric Michael Guilbeau both of Carencro; and one brother, Lawrence Conques of San Antonio, TX.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lionel "Pup" Guilbeau; her parents, Gerazime Conques and mother the former Eva Dugas, both natives of Carencro; and three sisters, Hazel Conques, Ruby Conques Benton, and Lou Conques Jarvie.
