Richard Earl Wells, Sr., 54, of Jones County, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2007. Services were held Monday, Oct. 22, with burial in Wells-Kelly Cemetery in Jones County.
Mr. Wells was born Jan. 7, 1953, in Macon and had lived his life in Jones County. He was the son of the late Harry Eugene Wells and a graduate of Jones County High School. Mr. Wells worked as a painter and a truck driver.
Mr. Wells is survived by his son, Richard Wells, Jr. of Macon; daughter, Cindy Cockrell of Macon; mother, Garylyn Jones White, of Macon; brothers, Gary Wells, Randy Wells and Dennis Wells, all of Jones County; sisters, Jacqueline Johnson and Mary Josey, both of Milledegville and Peggy Law of Winder; and granddaughter, Shelby Smith Wells.
