Memorial services were conducted Thursday, Dec. 18, 1986, at 10:30 a.m. from Lee Funeral Home Chapel for John William Floyd Austin, 78, of Winona.

The retired retail clerk died Monday night, Dec. 15, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Jackson. Services were preached by the Rev. Walter Nobel Vance. Interment was in Pine Bluff Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Etta Austin of Winona; a son, William Earnest Austin of Grenada; three step-sons, James L. Overstreet of Knoxville, Tenn., Jean Overstreet of Florence and Roy Overstreet of Tulsa, Okla; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Mae Pullen, Mrs. Mamie Dell Braswell and Mrs. Mattie Lou Rikard, all of Kilmichael, and six grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Alfred Hodges, Wayne Braswell, DuBard Massey, Billy Pullen, Maxie Pullen and Kenneth Williams. Lee Funeral Home handled arrangements.
