Austin - Frank L. Bell, 89, a retired Hormel employee, died Tuesday morning at St. Marks Lutheran Home in Austin. He was born May 10, 1894, at Chester. He attended schools there, and married Nira Wallace May 20, 1914, at Chester. They farmed in the Chester area until 1943, when they moved into Austin and Mr. Bell started working for Hormel. He retired in 1968.
Mrs. Bell died in 1976.
On May 5, 1978, Mr. Bell married Esther Godfredson. She survives.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Bell is survived by two sons, Robert of New Prague and Loren of Austin; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Faith United Methodist Church at Austin.
Friends may call at the Worlein Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, and at the church one hour before the service Friday.
Burial will be in Oakwood, Cemetery, Austin, MN.

He formerly resided at 508 12th St. NE and was a retired employee of the Hormel Company. Surviving are his wife, Esther, two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Lucille Bell, New Prague, Minn., Loren and Jean Bell, Austin; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday.
