Charles C. Brohard, 94, a longtime resident of Ray, died Saturday morning, October 24, at the Scenic Hills Nursing Home. Born March 21, 1898, in Jackson County, he was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ella Jelly Brohard; his wife, Margaret; and one son, Melvin. Surviving are: two sons, Ralph Brohard of Ray and Charles Emory Brohard of Jackson; three daughters, Madelyn Hoisington of Lakeland, Florida, Marilyn Bender of Columbus, and Georgeanne Denune of Granville; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Mayhew Funeral Home, today, Monday, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Masonic services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. at the Savageville Methodist Church with Reverend Everett Ward officiating. Burial will be in Hickman Cemetery.
