CARDWELL, Mrs. Clyde Newton of Nevada. Age 78. Died 12/24/1968 (Tuesday) in a Taylor hospital after a long illness. Services held (Thursday) at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home Chapel, Rockdale. Burial in Milano Cemetery. Revs. Joe Bailey and Joe Howard officiated. Pallbearers were nephews.

She was BORN about 1891 and was a retired home economics teacher and had taught at Taylor High School, Hardin-Simmons Univ. and Baylor Univ. She was teaching in the Nevada schools at the time she retired.

SURVIVORS: 5 sisters, Mrs. Mary Byrne of Houston, Mrs. Annie Smith of Rosenberg, Mrs. Florence Arrington of Granger, Mrs. Ruth Baggett of Milano and Mrs. Nell Butts of Thorndale.
