Born August 25, 1897 at Linton, she was the daughter of William Pegg and Mary Hiteman Pegg.
Mrs. Malicoat was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church.
Survivors are her husband, Luther; daughters, Leona Carter of Bowling Green, and Mary Freeman, Connersville; sons, Donald and Charles, both of Spencer; brothers Harley and Russell Pegg, both of Spencer; sister, Zella Livingston of Bloomington; 14 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the West & Son Funeral Home in Spencer. The Rev. Bay Unger and the Rev. J. W. Paul were the officiating ministers.
Interment was in Gross Cemetery.
