Services for Paul H. Colwell of Peoria Heights, 82, were held at 1 p.m., Saturday in the Gauss Memorial Chapel.
Rev. Marvin J. Goll of First English Lutheran Church officiated and burial was in Princeville Cemetery.
Mr. Colwell died at 5:43 p.m. Wednesday, September 25, 1974, in the Methodist Hospital where he was admitted July 3.
Born in Wyoming June 25, 1892, he was a son of Allen Douglas and Magnolia Selby Colwell. He spent his childhood in Princeville and then operated the family farm near Galva before coming to Peoria in 1926.
He repaired machines at Caterpillar Tractor Co. for more than 30 years before retiring in 1958. He was a member of the Caterpillar Retirees Club and Peoria Aerie 265, FOE.
Surviving are one daughter, Miss Ruth Colwell of Fort Madison, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. Madge Finn of Arcadia, Calif., Mrs. Charles (Blanche) Wynne of Atlanta, Ga., and Mrs. Gladys Harsch of Peoria, one brother Erle of Youngtown, Ariz., and several nieces and nephews.
A brother, Allen D. Colwell died September 4 and two sisters also preceded him in death.
