Flavius Barrett died at his home four miles south of Princeville on Saturday, April 29th, at the age of 48 years. He had been ill for six months from abscess on the liver. He is survived by the widow and 12 children, nine of whom are at home. The funeral was heald Monday from the Methodist church in Princeville, Rev. T.L. Kneebone of Dunlap having charge of the service. The interment was in the Princeville Cemetery.
Flavius T. Barrett was born in Hampshire County, West Virginia, March 30th, 1863, and died at his home near Dunlap, in Radnor Township, Peoria County, Illinois, April 29th, 1911, at the age of 48 years and one month.
In early manhood he united with the Methodist Episcopal church, and at the time of his death was a member of the M.E. Church in Dunlap, Peoria County, Illinois.
He came to Illinois in the year of 1883. In 1884, he was united in marriage to Maggie Harrison, who was born and reared on the farm on which they lived and owned, this being the Harrison homestead, once owned and occupied by the father and mother of the deceased.
To this congenial and happy union above mentioned were born thirteen children of whom twelve are living.
The deceased leaves to mourn their loss, twelve children, six grandchildren, three brothers and one sister the latter Mrs. Robert Giffirt of Virginia.
