Charlotte Marian Kingsbery Bleakley, 80, of San Angelo passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2007.
Marian was born June 2, 1927, in Houston, Texas, to Everette George and Ora Nell Moore Kingsbery. Her family moved to Austin that year and she attended Austin area schools. She graduated from Gulf Park School for Girls in Gulfport, Mississippi, in 1943. She attended Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa, and the University of Texas in Austin where she was President of Chi Omega. She received a Bachelors Degree in English from Grinnell in 1948.
Marian married her husband of 57 years, Virgil Jack Bleakley, in St. John's Episcopal Cathedral in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on September 27, 1950. They raised two children, Mark Kingsbery Bleakley of San Angelo, Texas, and Anne Russell Bleakley Williams of San Angelo, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, John Russell Kingsbery of Austin, Texas, and a daughter, Allison Carroll Bleakley. Happy thoughts and memories will be appreciated in lieu of memorials.
