Albert James, 30, died at the local hospital on Saturday following an operation last week. He had been residing in Pleasant Hill for some time past.
The deceased was a native of England and during the war served in the British army as a dispatch rider in the western front in France. He was the son of George and the late Mary James and father of Allen and Vera James. He is also survived by the following brothers, George, Lambert and William James and one sister, Mrs AB Hood.
