Baxter Woman Dies
On Day of Her Golden
Wedding Anniversary


Baxter Springs, Kan., Jan. 16.— Mrs. Meeke Harrison Stone, 68 old, wife of L. M. Stone, died at 12:35 o'clock this afternoon on the day of their golden wedding anniversary.

Mrs. Stone was born in Crawford county, Missouri, November 16, 1861, and was married fifty years ago today to L. M. Stone. They moved to Baxter Springs in 1919.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Ellis W. Stone of Leavenworth, Kan., and Bert L. Stone of Baxter Springs, and two sisters, Mrs. P. T. Sweet of Eureka Springs, Ark., and Mrs. Ann Jackson of Dallas, Tex.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the home, 325 West Eleventh street. The Rev. John Jennings will have charge of the services. Burial will be in Hill Crest cemetery.

Baxter Springs, Kan., Jan. 17.— Funeral services for Mrs. Meeke Harrison Stone, 68 years old, who died yesterday afternoon, on her wedding anniversary date, were held at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon at the home, 325 West Eleventh street The Rev. John Jennings had charge of the services. Burial was in Hill Crest cemetery.

In 1910, Mekee H Stone is in St. Louis City with hubby Laban M Stone and Ethel E, and Burgett L.

In 1920, Meeke and Laben are living in Quapaw, with a 2 11/12 year old child listed as a boarder, Ellis R Short.
