On yesterday the spirit of Mrs. Lula McPhail, wife of Mr. J. D. McPhail, passed out into the beyond. For some months the deceased had been a great sufferer from a disease, which had fastened its death-like grip upon her. All that was possible was done to give strength and spare the young life to the husband and little babe. The death of this lady is especially sad. With bright prospects for the future and with the love of a devoted husband it seemed that life was worth all to her. Her death was peaceful – barely a struggle in the disunion of soul and body.
Mr. and Mrs. McPhail had been married only two years, and it is indeed a sore trial for the broken-hearted husband to give up the one he loved. He has the sympathy and love of all the people in this sad hour. There is comfort in the thought that there will be a glorious meeting some day in the lad where no sorrow is and where partings are unknown. The funeral will take place this afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Methodist church.
