CLARENDON, April 27 - William Davis McDaniel, 77, resident of Donley County since 1921, died at his home in Hedley at 11:30 a.m. today.
A retired farmer, Mr. McDaniel was born May 13, 1883, in Comanche, Tex. He had been a resident of Hedley for 35 years moving there from Clarendon.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hedley.
Surviving are four daughters, Miss Lena McDaniel and Mrs. B.S. Riley, both of Pampa, Mrs. Maudy Blaylock of Fort Worth and Mrs. Martha Patterson of Amarillo; three sons, A.V. of Lefors, Wilton W. and Vernon, both of Fort Worth; two sisters, Mrs. Dora Jones of Comanche and Mrs. Nora Yancy of Brownwood; seven brothers, Otis of Cleburn, Lonnie and Martin, both of Comanche, Roy, Claude and Parker, all of Brownwood, Ernest of May and 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
