Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Rush Springs Cemetery. Burial is under direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs.

BARBARA JEAN BLACK, 66, of Rush Springs, passed away Wed., Sept. 26, 2007, in Rush Springs.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, at the Rush Springs Cemetery, with David Hale officiating. Services are under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs.
Barbara was born Friday, Jan. 10, 1941, in Cardin, Okla., to Clarence Homer and Virginia B. Pliley Fox. She attended school in Oklahoma City. She lived in Oklahoma City before moving to Rush Springs 21 years ago, where she worked as a house cleaner. Barbara married Gary Black in 1962 in California and he preceded her in death in 1999. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, oil painting and ceramics. She also enjoyed working in the yard.
Survivors include her mother, Virginia Miller of Rush Springs; an uncle, Bill E. Pliley of Eufaula; a step-brother, David Miller of Mt. Vernon, Wash.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her father; a sister, Mary Sue Fox; a brother, Jimmy Dale Fox; and her step-father, Ross Miller.
