James Edward Rawlings, Sr., 75, 2060 St. Christopher Dr., Lexington, husband of Virginia Parsons Rawlings, died Saturday, October 29, 1994 at his residence. A native of Frankfort, he was a son of the late Ezekiel and Callie Metts Rawlings. He was a member of the Midway Baptist church and a retired production supervisor for Proctor and Gamble. Besides his wife, survivors include: a daughter, Carol P. Rawlings, Lexington; three sons, James E. Rawlings, II, Kissimmie, FL, Bruce D. Rawlings and Scott G. Rawlings, both of Lexington; a brother, Paul J. Rawlings, Harrodsburg; a sister, Edith R. Mitchell, Midway; six grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Rawlings were held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 2, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Lexington, by the Rev. Keith Ruthenburg. Burial was in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens.
