Henry Clemens was a brother of Samuel Langhorne Clemens (Mark Twain). He was portrayed as 'Sid' in Tom Sawyer. Henry was killed in a boiler explosion aboard a steamboat, having been badly scalded in the explosion of the Steamboat Pennsylvania June 12, 1858. He died of his injuries the next day. Clemens was the third clerk aboard the Pennsylvania.
