Funeral services for Mrs. Goldie Tubb, 86, of Levelland, Texas will be at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2003, at the First Baptist Church in Levelland with Dr. Steve Vernon, pastor, the Rev. Jesse Hodge, First United Methodist Church, Levelland, and the Rev. Roy Prather, Fifth Street Baptist Church, Levelland, officiating. Burial will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery under direction of George C. Price Funeral Directors of Levelland, Texas. She died at 2:50 p.m., Monday, Oct. 20, 2003.
She was born on Nov. 26, 1916, in Greer County, Okla. She moved to Levelland and married Gano Tubb on Oct. 1, 1938. He died on Nov. 14, 1976. She received her B.S. from Southwestern University at Weatherford, Okla. and taught school for 41 years before retiring from the Levelland Independent School District. She was a member of Fifth Street Baptist Church of Levelland.
