Earlene was born Aug. 24, 1936, in Matador, to Bill and Alene (Spray) Briscoe. She graduated from Plainview High School.
Earlene married Bill Barr Nov. 25, 1956, in Plainview. She had been a bookkeeper, secretary, and homemaker. She loved her family and friends. She had a deep compassion for animals. She was an active member of Westmont Christian Church, heading several committees.
Mrs. Barr is preceded in death by her parents and husband. Survivors include a brother, Doug
Briscoe and wife Linda of Twin Falls, Idaho; several aunts and uncles; several cousins; several nieces and nephews, including Brenda G. Martin of Lubbock and Tony Marshall of Pflugerville; and her "adopted" son, Hal and "adopted" daughter-in-law, Sally Jackson of Dallas.
