Joel Vincent Beam, Age 64, died Wednesday, June, 10, 2009 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.

Joel was born in Guilford County, N. C. August 4, 1944, the son of the late Charles Grier and Lena Sue Brawley Beam.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a nephew, Charlie Beam.

Formerly employed at Carolina Freight Carriers, he was a life long member of the First United Methodist Church and a veteran of Vietnam US Air Force

Graveside Services will be conducted at the Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery. Cherryville Post 100 will extend military honors for Joel.
