Len Shechtman, 78, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2007 after a long illness at the Hospice of Palm Beach County in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
Len was born on February 26, 1929 in Hartford, CT the son of the late Jacob Shechtman and Sarah Tatelman Shechtman. He grew up in West Hartford, and later moved to Jupiter, FL. Len is survived by his wife Karen of Jupiter Fl, and his sister Inez Shechtman of Sunny Isles Beach, Fl. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, where he was a double recipient of the Purple Heart, as a combat photographer. Len continued his love of photography throughout his life. He also had a successful career in financial securities.
