Shirley Elaine Bartlebaugh, 68, of Gateway Towers, DuBois, PA, formerly of Sabula, PA died Thursday at the DuBois Nursing Home following a short illness.
Born February 23, 1931 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Labana and Mary MacDonald Burns. She was divorced from the late Edward F. Bartlebaugh.
A homemaker, she lived most of her life in Sabula. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and was active in the Golden Heirs and Ladies Bible Study at the church. She was a member of the DuBois Senior Citizens.
She is survived by three daughters; Mrs. John (Kathryn Lavina) Allen and Karen Lynne Forsyth of DuBois, PA and Kimberly Laverne Bartlebaugh of Indianapolis; three brothers; William Burns of Reynoldsville, PA, Arthur Burns of Brockway, PA and Gordon Burns of Ridgway, PA; a sister, Grace Weseliski of Indianapolis and six grandchildren.
Friends were received from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Friday and until 10:30 am Saturday at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in DuBois, PA. A funeral service was conducted at 10:30 am Saturday at the funeral home, Pastor Daniel Corff officated. Burial was in the Morningside Cemetery, DuBois, PA.
