Maggie was born July 15, 1905, in Dayton, Washington, to Ed and Lilly England. She was raised in Arbon Valley. At that time it was called Pauline Valley. She attended school in Arbon Valley and finished her education in Pocatello.
On October of 1924 she married Rex Roper in Pocatello. They lived in Arbon Valley until 1945 when at that time they moved to Pocatello. She has lived here since that time.
Rex and Maggie had nine children, seven girls and two boys. The living family members are Mary Moss, Lola Roper of Pocatello, Susie Brewster of American Falls, Jim Roper of Pocatello, Guy (Bum) Roper of American Falls. She also has a sister Margie Glascock, of American Falls.
She has numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Maggie has lost her husband, Rex, and five daughters, Dorothy Knox, Lois Allen, Jerry Howell, Dixie Esennaro, and Bonnie Roper, her parents and brothers and sisters.
