Memorial services will be held at Trinity Baptist Church on Finley Dr. in Taft for longtime Taft Resident, Darryl Rasey, 54. Private burial will be held in the West Side District Cemetery -- his cremains will be interred in grave with father Charles Rasey. Pastor of the Trinity Baptist Church will officiate at the services.

Mr. Rasey was born on September 7, 1946 in Hanford and passed away in Taft on July 25, 2001. He had lived in Taft for the last 42 years and graduated from Taft Union High School in 1965. He was an avid bowler and bowled many 300 games. He was a member of the Navy Sea Bees and served in Vietnam. He was a truck driver and was employed by Darling Rendering.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Rasey in 1981 and by his brother, SP4 Larry Rasey in 1970. Mr. Rasey is survived by his mother; his sister; and his nephews.

There are no visitation hours scheduled and the arrangements are under the direction of the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.

The Family requests that in lieu of flowers donations may be made to one's favorite charity in memory of Mr. Rasey.
