Lilas Buck Benson – our loving Wife, Mother, and "Nana" – a long time resident of Little Rock and more recently a resident the last few years of Cabot, Arkansas, died Monday, June 11, 2007.

She was born March 7, 1921 to the late John Collins Buck and Ina Harkey Buck.

She was a Baptist. She worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company during World War II as a long distance switchboard operator, and later for a short time as a Receptionist at KARK television station, and most importantly as a loving homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth Buck and William Buck, and a sister, Kathryn Jarvis.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ed Benson; and two precious daughters, Marion Greathouse and her husband Ed, of Cabot and Brenda Pedigo and her husband Randy of Haughton, Louisiana; and four precious grandchildren, Michelle Wymer of Springdale, Heather Strickland and her husband Lee of Cabot, Eddie Greathouse and his wife Cindy of Cabot, and Frankie Kaye Pedigo of Haughton, Louisiana; also five great-grandchildren, Lauren Keppel, Josiah Wymer, Drake Wymer, Jewel Greathouse, and Angel Greathouse; and nephew, Ken Buck.

Interment was at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
