BAGGETT, Ruth Newton, Mrs., of Milano. Age 84. Died 11/8/1976 in Crestview Manor Nursing Home, Belton, where she had been a patient since June. Services held 11/10/1976 in the Milano Baptist Church. Burial was in the Milano Cemetery. Phillips & Luckey of Rockdale in charge of arrangements. Rev. Joe Weldon Bailey, pastor of the Baptist Church at Calvert and a nephew of Mrs. Baggett and Rev. Joe D. Franklin, pastor of the Milano Church officiated. She was a lifelong resident of Milano.

BORN 4/26/1892 to M/M James B. Newton, a pioneer family of Milano area. She married James A. Baggett on 2/3/1926 in Rockdale. He died in 1959. She was a member of the Milano Helping Hands Club.

SURVIVORS: 2 sisters, Mrs. L. G. (Nell) Butts of Thorndale, and Mrs. M. (Flonnie) Arrington of Granger. These 2 surviving sisters are the last of a family of 7 daughters and 4 sons of the late M/M James B. Newton.
