ADAMS, Clifford of Menard & Thorndale. Age 69. Died 1/24/1969 (Friday) in a Temple (Bell Co., TX) hospital following a long illness. Services held (Sat.) at Mission Funeral Home of Menard. Burial in Menard City Cemetery.

BORN 11/28/1898 in San Gabriel, the son of James L. & Emma Frances Baird Adams. When he was a small child the family moved to Thorndale. He received his elementary and high school education in Thorndale. He and his wife, Gladys Gamble, had lived in Menard for 8 years and were in the cafe business. He was a veteran of WW-1. Member of the First Christian Church.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Gladys; 2 sisters, Mrs. Jack (Ila Mae) Cowen of Austin and Mrs. W.H. (Edna) Moore of Archer City. Two brothers, Sherwood Adams and Kenneth Adams of New York City, NY.
