BORN 11/28/1898 in San Gabriel, the son of James L. & Emma Frances Baird Adams. When he was a small child the family moved to Thorndale. He received his elementary and high school education in Thorndale. He and his wife, Gladys Gamble, had lived in Menard for 8 years and were in the cafe business. He was a veteran of WW-1. Member of the First Christian Church.
