The death of Henry Rickard occurred on Wednesday night at his residence, Morton and East Rittenhouse streets, where he had resided for more than fifty years. The immediate cause of death was dropsy, but he had been a sufferer for several years from a complication of diseases. Mr. Rickard was born in Plumstead township, Bucks county, on November 10, 1820, and he came to Germantown in 1847, where for many years he followed the trade of stone mason and builder. He was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal Church. The funeral services will be held this afternoon at his late residence, and the interment will be made at Ivy Hill Cemetery.
