MARION STONE DIES.

Teamster Succumbs to an Attack of
Pneumonia.

Marion Stone
, 56 years old, died at his home north of Galena Heights at 11:45 o’clock Sunday night after an illness of only four days. Death was due to pneumonia.

Mr. Stone was widely known in this district, as he was an old settler of Galena.

He had been a teamster for several years and at the time of his death was employed by the M. & H. Mining Company of Joplin.

He is survived by a wife and five sons, Glaycil, Roy and Harold Stone of Galena, Frank Stone of Lead, S. D., and Melvin Stone of Spokane, Wash., and three daughters, Mrs. Bessie Neeley and Mrs. Lulu Case of Galena Heights and Mrs. Etta Stephens of Kansas City. Also a sister and a brother.

Funeral arrangements will not be made until distant relatives are heard from.

Marion Stone Funeral Tomorrow.
Funeral services for Marion Stone, who died from pneumonia at 11:45 o’clock Sunday night at his home north of Galena Heights, will be held in the residence tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock. The Rev. Elder Clarke, a Seventh-Day Adventist of Wichita, Kan., will conduct the services and burial will be in Galena cemetery.

Frank Stone, a son, will arrive this morning from Lead, S. D.

Mr. Stone was widely known in Galena.

He is survived by a wife and five sons, Glaycil, Roy and Harold Stone of Galena, Frank Stone of Lead and Melvin Stone of Spokane, Wash., and three daughters, Mrs. Bessie Neeley and Mrs. Lulu Case of Galena Heights and Mrs. Etta Stephens of Kansas City.

Glaycel Irene Stone was Marion Jerome Stone's daughter, not a son. She died in California in 1955 or so after having recovered from tuberculosis. Her sister was my Grandmother, Bessie Lavanche Stone Neeley. Thank you.
