Mrs. John Staples

The news was received in Winona early Wednesday morning of the death of Mrs. John Q. Staples in the Baptist Hospital, Memphis, at 6:15 a. m., following an operation Tuesday morning. Mrs. Staples had been in ill health for several years and it was found necessary to operate but to no avail. Her remains were brought to Winona early Thursday morning and funeral services were held at the residence at 3:30 p. m., conducted by Revs. Melville Johnson and V. E. Boston. Interment took place in Oakwood cemetery.

Mrs. Staples is survived by her husband, J. Q. Staples, and three children, John Staples, Jr., Mrs. Raymond Minish, and Mrs. Raymond Henderson.

Out-of-town relatives of Mrs. Staples present at the funeral were: Mrs. C. E. Boykin, Tuscaloosa, Ala., Mr. and Mrs. Ed Semmes and son, Meridian; Mr. and Mrs. Balfour Staples, Greenwood; Mrs. J. C. Harris, Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Staples, Stewart; Mr. and Mrs. John Wilson, and family, Kilmichael.

The Times extends its deepest sympathy to the bereaved in the hour of their bereavement.
