WHITEHOUSE - Services for Mrs. Earline Shackelford Dark, 71, Whitehouse, are scheduled for 2:30 pm Wednesday at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with the Revs. Clayton Day and Mark Geroge officiating.

Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery under direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home in Tyler.

Mrs. Dark died early Tuesday in a Tyler hospital after a long illness.

She was born March 20, 1914, in the Walnut Grove community. She lived in Smith County all her life and was a housewife.

Survivors include a son, Jimmy Dark, Dallas; two daughters, Linda Kirkpatrick, Whitehouse, and Frances Fields, Fort Worth; two brothers Clarence Shackelford, Tyler and Fred Shackelford, Whitehouse; four sisters, Pauline Youngman, Irving, and Beatrice Ivy, Mary Harris and Melba Shackelford, all of Tyler; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Randy Dark, Billy Fields, James Kirkpatrick, Bruce Kirkpatrick, Clifford Phillips and Jason Chambers.
