Minerva B. Anderson.
"Grandma" Anderson, probably the oldest person in Sumner county, died at her home near Milan on Tuesday, October 10th, at the venerable age of 94 years, two months and twelve days. The deceased was born July 28, 1822, at Old Paris, Indiana. Was married June 16, 1840, to Chas. Carr Anderson, and of their union five children were born, four sons and a daughter, of whom the four sons survive. The family moved from Indiana to Cowley county, Kansas, in 1887, locating near Winfield. After residing there eight years they moved to Argonia, and from there to Milan in 1892. The funeral took place from the home on Wednesday afternoon, followed by intemrent in the Milan cemetery.
