J.H. Bunch Dead
J.H. Bunch accidentally shot and killed himself at his home on Lucy Creek Saturday afternoon. He was taking his gun, a double barrel shot gun, from a rack, when in some manner it slipped and one barrel was discharged the entire load entering his left side and killing him almost instantly. Medical attention was given as soon as it could be procured, but life was extinct before anything could be done. Mr. Bunch was 93 years of age, and had been a citizen of this section (Lampassas County, Texas) for many years and was always known as an upright, honorable gentleman.
Mr. Bunch was the father of 22 children, J.T. Bunch, Mesdames Joe T. Smith, Harvey Groves and E.L. Byrd being among those surviving, and living in this immediate section.
The body was buried at the Grove Cemetery Sunday. The bereaved have the sympathy of a large circle of friends.
