Obituary: Chillicothe Gazette February 19, 1979
Mrs. Anna A. Lewis, 91, of 252 E. Fourth St., died at 1 p.m. Saturday at Deiber's Nursing Home after an extended illness. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Fawcett-Oliver and Glass Funeral Home. The Rev. Michael Wright will officiate and burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 4-8 p.m. Monday. The daughter of John and Mandana Young Remy, she was born Oct. 30, 1887 in Vinton County. On July 30, 1917, she married Charles F. "Pipe" Lewis who died Oct. 31, 1965. Surviving are a foster son, William Cottrill, Walla Walla, Wash.; and a half brother, Chester Remy, Chillicothe. She was preceded by a sister. Mrs. Lewis was a member of the Christian Church at Byer and the National Association of Retired Veteran Railway Employees, Inc.
