Mrs. Arnold
Funeral services for Elva Lee Erskine Arnold, 88, of Evant, were held Sunday at the Evant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dean Coultas and Herman Beacham officiating. Burial followed at Langford Cemetery in Evant.
Mrs. Arnold died April 2 at Coryell Memorial Hospital i Gatesville.
She was born June 28, 1899, and spent her early life in Evant. She moved to Carlsbad, N.M., in 1938, and moved back to Evant i 1985.
She was married April 3, 1916, at Evant, to Forrest F. Arnold.
Preceded in death by her husband, Mrs. Arnold is survived by four sons, W.F. Arnold of Izoro, Lewis Arnold of Eufalla, Okla., Cecil Arnold of Carlsbad, N.M., and W.F. Arnold of Evant.; two daughter, Eimice McKenzie of Houston and Bernice Richardson of Carlsbad, N.M.; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Evant Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
