George N. Bogue, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home on Oct. 31, 2005. He was born on April 16, 1926, to Alta (Pollard) and Max Bogue.

He attended Burlington schools, graduating in 1943. He joined the Navy, served in World War II where he participated in the DDay invasion, then served in the Korean War. George spent his working career at Vermont Transit Lines.
George's life centered around his family. He devoted his life to building strong family bonds and values, and treasured family gatherings at his camp in Underhill.

George is survived by his wife of 51 years, Eva (Gabriele); and their five children, Bonnie Doble of Essex and husband Bill, David Bogue of Colchester and wife Lucy, George A. Bogue of Underhill, Betsy Austin of Essex and husband Jay, and Jeanne Albertson of Williston, and husband Scott. In addition, George is survived by his nine grandchildren.
