BIOGRAPHY: Attended for years, Pilgrims Holiness Church (3rd Street and Indian School, Phoenix Arizona). Was a very religious woman and I never hear her say anything bad about anyone and I am serious; Never.

WORK: Worked at the New England Bakery (around 3rd Street and Roosevelt). She also washed/ironed clothes, by hand in her back yard, for people, as well as cleaned houses for homeowners around the Phoenix Country Club area. She did not drive and walked for miles so she could save a nickel that the bus ride cost at the time. She never complained about it, she called it an opportunity.

She married Joseph Alexander Ashton on 12 Aug.1903 in Hobart,Kiowa County,Oklahoma
