On August 6, 1908 as Lorena Belle Beach, she married Elbert M. McCune at Woodward, Oklahoma.
Their marriage ended in divorce.

Lourene B. Giddings was born March 4, 1882 at Wichita, Kansas. Her family came to Oklahoma when she was age seven. She was a resident of the McLoud area for most of her life. She lived with her daughter, Mrs. Leo Engert, after the death of her husband John Giddings in 1963. She attended the Methodist Church at McLoud; was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and served as child welfare chair and was a member of the Dewey Extension Homemakers Club. She died at age 85 on Friday, July 21, 1967, in a Shawnee hospital after an illness of several months. Survivors included her daughter, Mrs. Leo Engert, of Route 2 and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were at the McLoud Methodist Church with Rev. Marvin Bell officiating assisted by Rev Archer Copage, pastor of the church. Interment was at Jameson Cemetery. Pallbearers were members of the McLoud American Legion. Arrangements were by Roesch Brothers Funeral Chapel.
