In October 1949, Arthur Anderson, took the Gamble Store franchise & was in business in Bark River until 1960, when he sold the store to his son Jim.
Prior to 1949 Arthur had an ice cream parlor, confectionery & barber shop, in a building that he had bought in 1918, just before he entered the United States Army.
Jim Anderson operated the store with his son, Michael & Gregg.
